Seriously..... People of All Ages Love Yum Yum Drums

Whether leading individual sessions or group classes, Baye demonstrates that drumming can have a profound effect on one's emotional and spiritual well being. Building on his years of performing and teaching, Baye truly brings the power of the drum to life.  

I watched the Sweet Soul Students, with their jaws dropped and eyes bright, as Baye entered the studio to share his passion and craft.  They knew, as children always do, that Baye made them FEEL (and this was before he even began!)

Such is the magic of a true artist - one with history and soul to share.

I am the founder and creative director of Sweet Soul Movement – a creative arts education school in New York City.  I impart the joy of creative expression to my students and only work with teaching artists and performers who embody their craft and their enthusiasm for life.  THIS is what makes a true performer and teacher.

Baye, in his workshop shared his craft, his history, and his heart with my students and left them better people for it.  They fell in love with him because he was real; he created WITH them, not AT them.  As he finished up his presentation the children ran to his smiling face, hugged him and said, “I love you Baye.”  For those who have children, you know that kids do not say what they do not mean and nor do I, I love you Baye and the gift that you shared with my teachers, my students and me!
